Santa's Sleigh

Once again Club members took Father Christmas on his sleigh around Barton to meet the children, young and not so young.

Father Christmas signalling he and his sleigh are ready for the off around Barton

The first trip was on Tuesday 12 December with snow still on the ground and many pavements and driveways precariously slippery. Despite these conditions Santa’s little helpers collected over £500, a great effort and a very generous donation from the residents on that route. The sleigh has now completed its trips around Barton and the residents have been extremely generous giving £2,768.27 that will be used to support local and national charities.

Father Christmas greets some young fans keen to learn what he will bring for Christmas

On the evening of 21 December, the longest route for the sleigh, Club members were joined by friends as well as Barton residents who were involved with the “Barton lights” activities. These helpers proved very effective as over £700 was raised that evening.

As  mentioned earlier this year was a record year for Santa and his helpers, raising £2,768.27

A big thank you to all the residents of Barton for their generous support
