About us

The Rotary Club of Barton-le-Clay was chartered on 19 May 1987. It is a relatively small club with 26 members but a very, active and lively one.
We meet every Tuesday evening 7.15 for 7.45pm when we enjoy a meal together followed by a speaker, except for the second Tuesday in the month, which is our business meeting.  We have a full and varied programme of speakers, which can be viewed in full either for the  next month or the next six months.

We also actively encourage club members to speak on a regular basis about their travels, occupation or experiences of Rotary as well as invited speakers from outside the club and reports of many of these are available.

The club organises various events and fund raising exercises to support our  involvement in a range of activities at a  local, national and international level. These include organising for the people of Barton-le-Clay the annual Burns Night Supper, an annual Senior Citizens tea for villagers who have difficulty getting out and socialising on a regular basis.

We also take Father Christmas around the village to meet the children and collect for Rotary charities.  Funds are also raised through our unique Gastro Quiz which we run every year as well as other activities often in conjunction with other local Rotary Clubs. We are also pleased to have received an RI matching grant to support our new international project

Past activities that the Club has been involved with can also be viewed.
